ACSA announces 2019 Snowmobiler of the Year
At the 51st International Snowmobile Congress, Greg Hiles from DeSmet, South Dakota was named the ACSA Snowmobiler of the Year. Hiles has been active in organized snowmobiling for over 20 years.
Hiles has been actively involved with the Town and Country Snowdrifter snowmobile club, serving in many positions and coordinating several club activities. Hiles has also served in several positions for the South Dakota Snowmobile Association and is currently serving has the President of the American Council of Snowmobile Associations.
Because of the positions Hiles has held, he understands the fundraising required. He has assisted with many fundraising activities from raffles to Monday Night Football to Live and Silent Auctions.
Greg’s level of attendance, participation and involvement demonstrates his passion and dedication to snowmobiling and efforts to protect public access for all to enjoy. Greg has participated in many of the Washington Fly-Ins for the snowmobile community as well as the International Snowmobile Council.
Snowmobiling has been a major part of the Hiles’ household. From riding a two up with one daughter sleeping in front of Greg and the other daughter behind him to being able to ride with his two oldest grandsons. It all comes down to family, friends and fun for the Hiles family!
Many high school students spent several spring break trips riding in the Big Horns. Whether it was riding in the meadows or digging out a sled, some of these kids, now adults, still refer to these trips as ome of their favorite memories. Family, friends and fun!
