The Aberdeen Driftbusters were named the LARGEST CLUB in SDSA for the 2022-2023 Snow Season. Congratulations to the Driftbusters! Keep up the good work!

The Walt Spiering family of Brookings was named Snowmobile Family of the Year at the 54th Annual SDSA Convention held in Sioux Falls, SD.
They are members of the Dakota Drifters Snowmobile Club of Brookings. Walt has been involved in snowmobiling for 40 years while his son Greg has been involved for 25.

The entire family has been heavily involved in organized snowmobiling over the years and Lisa will be the new Treasurer for SDSA. Congratulations!

Olivia Hanten of the Siouxland SnoTrackers was named Youth Snowmobiler of the Year at the 54th Annual SDSA Convention in Sioux Falls SD December 2nd. Olivia is pictured (in pink) with her sister Natalie who also competed for the award. Both girls are the children of Austen & Becky Hanten and the grandchildren of Duane & Pat Hanten-Duerr.

Kim Raap has been active in organized snowmobiling all of his career. He has done so much that I know I cannot mention everything. He has been involved in Club Convention planning for nearly every convention his club has done. He has helped organize and present at ISMA and ACSA. He has written many grants, trail manuals and trained many groomers throughout his career. He helps keep ACSA informed of legal issues and Concerns. He has been recognized by the Iron Dog Brigade for the Distinguished Service Award and Most Valuable Snowmobiler Award from a snowmobile magazine. He is a 2012 Snowmobile Hall of fame Inductee. He left state government work and now runs a business “Trails Work Consulting”. He has done much work in South Dakota and Wyoming and has made a difference in many states Snowmobile trail systems. Siouxland SnoTrackers is proud to nominate Kim Raap to the Hall of Fame for everything that he has done.
