Thanks to Kim Raap from Trails Work Consulting for designing a display to feature the Henry .17 Cal. HMR rifle that is being used as a fundraiser for Snowmobilers 4 Snowmobilers.
Charlie Fawcett (Hand County SnoGoers) donated the unique rifle which he had engraved with the SDSA name and logo, a Snowmobilers 4 Snowmobilers (S4S) logo and a snowmobiling image on both sides of it by Dakota Precision Engraving in Miller.
The custom scabbard was designed, created & donated by Mark Finnegan at Shamrock Holsters in Brookings through the Dakota Drifters at the convention last year.
Kim purchased the rifle and decided that it needed to be an ongoing fundraiser for the fund. SDSA voted to support Kim’s idea and this year’s convention will bring the concept to fruition. A plaque showing the annual ‘Top Donor’ along with ‘Total Dollars Raised’ will be added to this display after the 2025 inaugural ‘All-In’ auction. Thanks to Trailshead Lodge for allowing this to be on display where all will be able to view it.
